Setting Up Your Place for a Memorable Game Evening –Kids Edition

When the weather is pleasant, evenings are longer, and kids have their vacations (we are talking about summers), organizing game parties is the best time to keep your kids busy and entertained.

Evening game parties for kids aren’t that difficult to set up, especially if you have a backyard or even a small garden. All you need are a few kids (who are willing to enjoy fun games) and some of the following things:

Pre Planning is Important

Before the games begin, some planning goes a long way—and, in this case, until the end. Choose a good location, such as a backyard, front park, or a local park with enough space. Ensure that you check the weather (not too sunny or too windy). Also, ensure that it is near your home or the homes of the kids you are inviting so that you can set up the place easily and everyone can join your party without issue.

Game Selection and Setup

Create a list of games that will keep the kids engaged and excited. Classics like sack races, tug-of-war, and scavenger hunts are always popular. Set up game stations with clear instructions and any necessary equipment. If you make a list, then you will know which games require equipment and accessories. For example, you will need sacks for sack race, rope with handkerchief for tug-of-war, etc. Also, don’t forget to get a Countdown LED Clock II with a buzzer (for excitement and competition) to determine who wins and who doesn’t.

Lighting

As the sun sets, setting the proper lighting is essential for keeping the fun going. Use various types of solar lights, string lights, lanterns, and even glow sticks to fight the darkness (you can find many outdoor lights and solar lights in Pakistan. Not only will it add a magical touch, but it will also ensure everyone can see clearly as darkness falls.

Prizes and Giveaways

Everyone loves a reward! Prepare small prizes or treats for the winners of each game. It doesn’t have to be anything extravagant or expensive—simple items like stickers, bouncy balls, or simple printed certificates can make the winners feel special and encourage them to keep coming to your little game evenings.

Snacks and Drinks

Running around and playing games can work up quite an appetite, especially for kids. Set up a snack station with easy-to-eat snacks like popcorn, fruit skewers, and mini sandwiches. Don’t forget to provide plenty of water, juices, and glucose water to keep everyone refreshed and energetic.

Safety First

Lastly, always prioritize safety. Ensure adequate adult supervision throughout the evening. This is especially important if you are arranging it in a public park. Make sure there are no sharp objects or anything that can harm the kids. Also, ensure that they don’t leave the park without your permission or adult supervision. Keep a first aid box, tissues, sanitizers, and clean water to wash hands and faces during the event.

Well, there you have it—a fool-proof way to keep your kids busy while they are always on their phones or watching TV. With just a few simple things (sacks, ropes, solar lights, certificates, snacks, and drinks), you can plan your game party like a pro.
